A fantail chirped at me this morning
And it made me put down my phone
What is the value of a slim black box
When compared with God’s creation?
What it lacks in instant gratification
It makes up for in immeasurable beauty
A golden sunset adorns the clouds
A warm breeze makes me feel alive
The birds and bugs cheerfully go about their duties
The juxtaposition of creation speaks of its creator
The vast complexity
The ordered chaos
Death, leading to life
All reflections of God’s character
His fingerprints
Are easy to overlook
When I’m on my phone.
