Fit together
Serenity, security, peace
I lay in the palm of God’s hand
Totally dependent
Totally content
‘Whether I turn to the right or the left, my ears will hear a voice behind me, saying,
“This is the way; walk in it”’
I am God’s servant
Resting in His presence
In joy,
In grief,
He holds me completely.
Context
Last year was a rocky year for me. It was incredibly enjoyable, but also a year of instability, uncertainty, and fast-paced action. I wrote this poem as I reflected on how different this year has been, and how much I was enjoying the slower pace of life. God has provided so abundantly, and this poem is a reminder to totally rely on Him. I do not know the road ahead, but I am content to follow His voice as He leads me in his perfect timing.
