O my soul, forget not God’s goodness

When the night becomes morning

Give thanks for His faithfulness

When your cares are forgotten

Forget not the Lord your God

For He delivered you from the slimy pit

And comforted you through the darkest valley 

So when you are delivered

Praise His holy name!

O my soul

May you overflow with gratitude

And remember God’s work

For He is faithful when no one else is
