Teach me to love Your Word, O God

Give me a hunger

That can only be satisfied by scripture

May the water of this world be bitter to my mouth

So that I will crave living water

This is my hearts desire

That you would be my source of life

May your ancient words be like bread to me

That I would be fed with wisdom

Nourished by peace

Sustained by love

Give me a taste for truth

Please Father, strip away all distractions

May everything else grow stale

When faced with the sweet freshness

Of Your Word, O God
